Email Marketing And What You Should Know

Email Marketing And What You Should Know. Email marketing should be an essential part of your marketing strategy.

You should be driving traffic to your email list because if god forbid Facebook goes down you still have a list of people who are interested from buying from you. This is why you need to get email addresses from Facebook leads.  A regular email to prospective or former clients also keeps you at the forefront of their minds.

There are a few free and paid platforms to use. I.e. Mail Chimp, Mailerlite, Active Campaign and InfusionSoft – all of them have their pros and cons. The best way is to pick what is important to you. A CRM system, simple emails, advanced targeting and then from there chose a platform that is right for you.

Choosing a platform is not something to jump into blindly, do your homework, take note of what others use and find a system that meets your requirements (and budget).

It is up to you how often you want to send an email: monthly, weekly, follow up emails, re-emailing, campaigns, nurture sequence etc. You need to do what you are comfortable with and what you have time to monitor – if you do not monitor the reviews you are wasting your time. It is much like Facebook Insights, they are there for a reason.

Most email marketing platforms have a review section where you can see how many emails are being opened and who is opening them.

These reviews can even be set up to let you know who has clicked on what, so, if you can see a person clicked on the payment link but they did not follow through then they are a hot lead, this needs to be followed up with a re-targeting mail. This re-targeting mail can be set up to look like it is directly from you. If you are using email marketing, retargeting should be part of your strategy. Don’t let your hot leads go cold

It is also really important to take note of who regularly opens your emails and who never opens your mail.

Some of the platforms charge a monthly fee based on the number of subscribers so it would be wasting money-sending mails to someone who never opens any of your mails, rather get rid of the dead weight.   By removing the dead weight your open rate is going to start to look better and your emails will have a less spammy rating.

Some of these platforms even have CRM capabilities

For example, the client wants you to call them back in 3 months, you can actually set it up to send you a reminder to contact that client on a specific date and you can put your notes in there so you will get a mail with all the info you need. This can be an incredibly important feature for tracking leads and those interested in booking or buying from you.
