Are branding and marketing the same thing? Product vs Purpose Led

Is your brand  whether or not it is purpose LED?.. A lot of people talking about purpose led business owners. And people are choosing your business over and above another person’s business not based on price, not based on product, but based on purpose.

So what does that mean?

And how can we put that into our branding, and our key messaging so that people you’ll become memorable, and you’ll become chosen over and above everyone else?

So purposely companies literally have their businesses because of their purpose or contribution. They have a commitment which drives them to be leaders, activists, educators, facilitators, change makers, collaborators, and innovators. profit, profit is not the outcome.

Purpose is the outcome. So profits, not the outcome for them.

Purpose is more than a mantra, it’s a reality, and shaping a new generation of business leaders to a promise of a better future, undisturbed.

Here are the 2 growth strategies for purpose led businesses

1. Growth STRATEGY 1 DRIVE SALES whilst fulfilling YOUR PURPOSE

  • 63% of consumers prefer to purchase from a purpose driven brand.

It’s important then obviously, in your marketing to communicate that you are a purpose driven brand and what that is, so that becomes part of your key messaging.

  • 80% of consumers say when they buy a product from a purpose driven company, they feel they are doing some part in making a positive impact.

So for example, with Rotary at the moment, we’re doing a big blood drive and some people can’t give blood, but if they can contribute in some other way towards you donating blood they feel like they’re actually part of that as well. And you know, it was just a great reminder looking at the statistics going, well, sometimes people can’t actually physically give time or energy, but they’re happy to contribute. So how can we make our audience feel part of that mission.

  • 62% of consumers want companies to stand up for the issues they are passionate about. What this means is now more than ever, people won’t just choose you based on price.

If there are two things that are sitting there, and let’s say, your pest company, and we’ve got two pest companies, and both pest companies are selling termite and pest inspections at exactly the same price. People will choose a company based on the fact that they contribute towards a cause, or they stand up for something or they’re involved in the community.

  • 66% of consumers think transparency is one of the brand’s most attractive qualities.

People are not always going to believe what you believe. But that’s okay. That is really, really, okay. There is someone for everyone and not everyone is going to work with you.

2. Growth STRATEGY 2 Use Your PURPOSE to Create Expert Positioning

When we look at your branding, we’re looking at your key messaging and the marketing. make sure that that’s in there so that we can be strong online to effectively communicate that you are purposely in business because it can help you be more memorable and get the customer over everyone else.
