Online events are an excellent way of creating new leads if done correctly. Here are my tips…
- Create a Valuable, Desirable, Customer-Focused Offer. If you don’t have an offer, you should at least have an intention. E.g. build your list etc but there should always be a strategy. Doing something properly is more effective than doing 1000’s of events, posts and LIVES without a strategy.
- Identify who on Facebook will pay for it and where you can find them on Facebook.
- Create a registration link on your preferred platform (e.g. Zoom) to capture an email so you can send calendar reminder. And then email reminders 24hrs and 1hr before and a follow-up email.
- Set up an event on Facebook, using the registration link on the ticket link. Be sure to write what the event outcomes will be, whom it is for, why they need it and what’s in it for them if they attend the event. Also, let them know to click GOING to the event and look out for the email to add to their calendar.
- Use all the Facebook event features to get registrations.
- Use all the Facebook capabilities and the right etiquette to put your event in front of the right audience. The goal is to get more registrations.
- Create brand awareness and build credibility by creating relevant content on Facebook to point more people to your event.
- Send the registration link to your email list and referral partners.
- To increase your turn up rate, consider holding them on the same day and time, or put the details on your Facebook banner as a reminder.
