How to set Linktree up?
I found it quite easy on the app. But found more features when I went onto desktop. Start with links, then appearance and do not forget settings. Settings is where you subscribe, social icon buttons and email option hide. In appearance, in background, images, on the paid version, you can design in canva with more options.
Do I need a website to have Linktree?
No. In fact, based on the above, you can use linktree. The more you pay the more features you get. Check out their pricing on their website. They are an Australian company (which is worth noting)
What can you use instead of Linktree?
If you have a website, you can create it on your website as a public or private page. The design features are less creative. The bonus of using your website is to have them on your website and increases your google ranking. Additional bonus is being able to include things like a video intro, testimonials etc. Analytics are easier to find on Linktree but limited on the free version. You can use Google search console on most websites to track the analytics.

Canva has also created a Linktree version, which I feel is even more creative than linktree itself. There are a few templates available on the free version.
There are over 1000 templates in canva where you can use your colours, fonts and branding, add links and get you 1 link to use .
Whichever you choose, think what your strategy is?
A confused mind buys nothing. Sequencing is imperative. You can always move the most important to the top and turn buttons off when they are not relevant. Using CAPITAL letters can help keep eyes engaged on the content. Use strong call to actions.
Consistency in branding, message and then the call to action is key for conversions.
As with all strategies it is important to test, get feedback and review your analytics so you can optimise.
